Stromboli is a volcano in Italy, located in the Aeolian Islands, in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is known for its imposing conical shape, the result of successive layers of lava, ash, and volcanic debris.
Before reaching Stromboli, we had already stood in awe before two other giants — Etna and Vulcano — each with its own temperament and mystery.
In search of discovering my adopted land, I find myself overwhelmed by this angry giant.
After exploring this piece of land and the village perched on the back of this monster with a furious breath, we decide to continue our journey out at sea. From here, the view is stunning — perfect for admiring the lava fireworks, with its rapid bursts and fragments of inert rock falling in slow motion, as if obeying a different time and gravity.
Angry giants.
